Learn About Current Travel Requirements

Many travel requirements are changing frequently due to the current pandemic.  Keep up to date to minimize delays and stress while travelling to Ontario from within Canada or abroad.

There are currently no restrictions on travel to Ontario from other provinces within Canada. However, visitors are still strongly advised to avoid travel between regions of high case counts and those with low or no cases.

All fully vaccinated travelers, including international travelers and U.S. citizens, can now travel to Canada for non-essential purposes.

Entry to Canada is determined by the Government of Canada and may come with restrictions depending on which country you are travelling from. Learn more from the Canada Border Services Agency or check out the resources below.

Requirements for Eligible Fully Vaccinated Travelers

Fully vaccinated travelers must:

  • have received the full vaccination series of a vaccine accepted by the Government of Canada at least 14 days prior to entering Canada
  • be asymptomatic
  • have a negative COVID-19 test result prior to entering Canada
  • have provided COVID-19 related information electronically through ArriveCAN prior to arrival in Canada
  • have a paper or digital copy of their vaccination documentation in English or French

The City of Toronto’s mask bylaws and physical distancing bylaws remain in effect.
