ISTU Student Social Event on Monday, June 15th
When: June 15th, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Where: WorkWork, Munkegata 58, 7011 Trondheim
Join us for an informal gathering for students to network and break the ice! This is a great chance to meet new people and explore. Enjoy free appetizers, plus a $10 drink ticket provided by ISTU for all student attendees.
Transportation: Weather permitting, WorkWork is a 30-minute, 2.4 km walk from NTNU. There are two bus lines (3, 22) from NTNU that run frequently and will drop you close to WorkWork. View the bus schedule.

June 16: Future of Therapeutic Ultrasound Poster Session
We are excited for the fifth annual session of the Future of Therapeutic Ultrasound at ISTU 2026. This poster session provides a great opportunity for academic and industry recruiters to speak directly with current graduate students and postdoctoral researchers who are actively seeking positions.
The Poster Session will be held on Tuesday, June 16th. Participating students may also use the Virtual Platform to set office hours online to discuss their presentation with prospective employers.
June 16: ISTU Annual Student Awards Competition
The Student Award Oral Presentations, as well as the Student Poster Award Pitches, will be on Tuesday, June 16th where we will highlight all the students competing for the ISTU Annual Student Awards. The Student Award Announcements will be made live on June 18th to close out the Symposium. Annual prizes include Best Oral, Best Poster, and the Nadine Barrie Smith Award (Best Overall) which recognizes exemplary student achievements at the ISTU Annual Symposium This fund allows continued recognition of Nadine's legacy as a mentor, and encourages others to do the same. June 17: Student Mentorship Session
Learn about career development in therapeutic ultrasound from a panel of leaders who span a wide variety of career paths including academic research, industry and entrepreneurship, clinical translation, and philanthropy. Each panelist will briefly introduce themselves and describe their career trajectories, followed by Q&A and moderated discussion. This session will be be moderated by Sarina Grewal from Imperial College London, and Manu Krishnakumar Suma from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
